Silesian Uprisings Remembrance Runs

“Memory of the Silesian Uprisings – Actively 2025” is a unique series of sports events organized on St. Anna Mountain, which combines a love of movement with respect for history. It is a tribute to the heroes of the Silesian Uprisings – through runs, cross country and duathlon, which require not only physical strength, but also character.

The whole thing starts on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with the 9th Silesian Uprisings Remembrance Run.

The event takes place at the Museum of the Uprising Act on St. Anna Mountain. The route runs through the picturesque alleys of Kalwaria and leads through forest and mountainous areas. Competitors can start on two distances: 5 km or 10 km. At 11:00 the children’s runs will start, and the main run will start promptly at 13:00.

This event is more than just sport – it is an opportunity to commemorate important moments in the history of the region, and at the same time test yourself on a demanding route among competitors from the entire province and beyond.

The race is part of a broader project “Aktywnie 2025”, which also includes: IV Cross Country Run in Memory of the Silesian Uprisings, – June 22, HOBBY – 15 km (3 rounds of 5 km) PRO – 30 km (6 rounds of 5 km) 11:00 – start of children’s races 13:00 – start of HOBBY 14:00 – start of PRO

II Cross Duathlon – June 29,  Route: Aleje Kalwarii, forest roads and mountainous terrain Distance: 18.5 km Run 1.5 km → bike 7 km → run 1.5 km 11:00 – start for children 13:00 – start of the main duathlon Participants who decide to take part in all three events will receive a special prize and a souvenir presented during the series finale.

This is a sports festival on St. Anna Mountain, where history meets passion and strength of spirit.
