Open Workshop "Art and Identity with Character"

We invite you to a workshop entitled “Art and Identity with Character.” During the meeting, we will discuss what it means today to be a person of character, whether it is a trait perceived as a strength or rather a challenge in relationships and social perception.

We will also consider how art—particularly portraits and self-portraits—can serve as a tool for expressing identity and how we want to be perceived. The point of reference will be the work of Hanna Bakuła, an artist known for her distinctive style and personality. Her portraits and statements will serve as inspiration for a conversation about how character can be visible in an image, gesture, or color, and what this says about us. The event is intended for adults. Workshop objectives: Reflection on the concept of a person of character, understanding the role of art – especially portraits and self-portraits – as a tool for expressing identity and personal character.
