7th Festival of Artistic Events OpenOPOLE'25

On the first weekend of August, August 2-3, 2025, Opole will once again transform into a grand outdoor stage – all thanks to the 7th Open OPOLE’25 Artistic Events Festival. For years, this event has been bringing together residents and tourists seeking cultural excitement in the fresh air. The festival, which has become a fixture in the city’s summer calendar, combines art, fun, reflection, and the joy of shared cultural participation.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 2, 2025 Starting this morning, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, a special family zone, “On the Tracks of Good Fun,” will be open in Wolności Square (by the fountain), prepared by Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. and the National Reconstruction Plan. This will be a space where science and technology meet fun and creativity – an ideal place for families with children.

In the afternoon, the Market Square, Castle Pond, and the surrounding area will once again be filled with theatrical magic:

• 4:30 PM – “Ristorante” – a comedy show by Teatr Na Walizkach (Market Square) A witty, dynamic culinary spectacle, full of juggling, slapstick gags, and kitchen surprises.
• 6:00 PM – “Vegetable” – a juggling farce by Kamil “Żongler” Małecki (Castle Pond, near the oak tree) A circus show for children that introduces young children to… vegetables in a fun and creative way!
• 7:30 PM – “Doktor Czarodziej” – Teatr A from Gliwice (Market Square) A puppet story inspired by the life and work of Janusz Korczak. Reflective, yet accessible to younger audiences – with music, humor, and depth. 9:00 PM – “Ogniowa Walizka Show” – Kamil “Żongler” Małecki (Market Square) A fire show with special effects, music, and excellent audience interaction. A spectacular conclusion to the first day.

SUNDAY, August 3, 2025 The second day of the festival will begin at 10:00 AM in Wolności Square with “Tam i zwrót” (There and Back) by Teatr Podniebny from Poznań. This puppet, maritime story is full of tenderness, color, and emotion for the youngest children.

Afternoon at the Market Square:

• 4:00 PM – “Matylda the Caterpillar” – Stańczyk Theatre from Krakow A fairy tale inspired by Andersen that encourages young children to accept themselves and discover different shades of beauty.
• 7:15 PM – “Wardrobe Show” – Sztukmistrze Foundation from Lublin A spectacular street performance combining fire theater, cabaret, and absurd humor. Panda, Ninja, and the Circus Director will lead you through the festival’s wild, fiery finale.

Open OPOLE ’25 is two days full of open-air art – diverse, accessible, colorful, and moving. Street theater, New Circus, puppet theater, and interactive zones combine to create a space where everyone – regardless of age – will find something to enjoy.
