Right next to it, it is worth visiting the Archdiocesan Museum with its valuable collections of sacral art.
Holy Cross Cathedral in Opole
One of the most recognizable buildings in Opole, built in the 15th century on the site of earlier churches. Its soaring, 73-meter towers dominate the old town, and the interior conceals, among other things, the painting of Our Lady of Opole and the precious relics of the Holy Cross Wood. The cathedral also has bronze gates worth seeing, commemorating important events in the history of Poland and Opole.
Church of St. John the Evangelist in Paczków
The church in Paczków from the 14th century stands out for its extraordinary history - in the 16th century it was fortified and became part of the city's defense system. Inside, you can see the only altar in Central Europe carved from a single piece of sandstone, as well as a historic stone well from the 16th century.
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kałków
The Romanesque-Gothic temple from the 13th century is located on a picturesque hill and surrounded by a stone wall. Inside, it is worth paying attention to the Baroque altar of the Holy Family, polychromes and a 17th-century painting depicting the Last Judgement.
