Walking along the trails of the Nysa Commune, Edition II

Plac przed Bazyliką w Nysie - Stowarzyszenie Na Rzecz Rozwoju Turystyki Na Pograniczu Polsko-Czeskim, Oddział PTTK Tryton w Nysie

04.07.2025 17:00 - 29.08.2025 21:00

We cordially invite all residents of the Nysa Commune and visiting tourists to participate in the second edition of the tourist event “Walks on the Trails of the Nysa Commune,” which provides a unique opportunity to explore local history, learn fascinating stories from the past, and admire the charms of one of the most beautiful cities in southwestern Poland. The organizers of this unique initiative are the Association for the Development of Tourism on the Polish-Czech Border and the PTTK Tryton Branch in Nysa, who, with great passion and commitment, have prepared a series of four Friday walks in July (July 4, July 11, July 18, August 25, and August 29, 2025) and five in August, on August 1, August 8, August 15, August 22, and August 29, 2025, always at 5:00 PM, with a gathering in front of the Basilica of St. James and St. Agnieszka in Nysa – one of the city’s most important monuments, full of secrets and history.

During these free walking tours, participants will have the unique opportunity to listen to the vivid and engaging stories of local guides, who will present the history of Nysa in an engaging and accessible way, revealing lesser-known facts and anecdotes related to its monuments, and taking the group to places that often go unnoticed by everyday passersby.

This event combines elements of tourism, historical education, and social integration, so we encourage you to bring your family, friends, and even neighbors along – all you need are comfortable shoes, a bit of free time, and a willingness to discover together what’s local and unique. “Walks on the Trails of the Nysa Commune” is not only an opportunity to actively spend a summer afternoon, but above all, a way to build a deeper connection with the place where we live or visit, so don’t leave anyone out – join us and let history speak for itself as we hike the trails of Nysa together!
