A walk through city parks
Is there anything more relaxing than a walk through a park surrounded by the rustle of trees and leaves rustling underfoot? We invite you to discover the charms of city parks in the Opole Province and the Olomouc Region:
Kluszbork City Park
The Kluczbork City Park, located on the site of the former castle pond, delights with its walking alleys with historic trees and unique tree species, such as the Japanese ginkgo and balsam gum. Among the rhododendrons, azaleas and water lilies, there is a restored monument to the Victims of World War I and a city fountain. The park also offers recreational areas, including an outdoor gym, a skate park and tennis courts.
Głogówek Park
The Głogówek Park, located by the Oppersdorff Castle, delights with its monumental trees and rare plant species, such as the snowdrop and lungwort. In the lower part there is a water reservoir and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk from the 18th century. The park offers an educational trail, a playground and an outdoor gym.
Prudnik City Park
Prudnik City Park, founded in 1880 in the English style, was created thanks to the Society for Beautifying the City and the support of Hermann Fränkel. Among the attractions are the Monument to the 1000th Anniversary of the Polish State, tennis courts with a Swiss-style cottage and a statue of the goddess Diana. The park also offers a playground, sports fields and a concert gazebo.
Nysa City Park
Nysa City Park, a historic 19th-century area covering an area of over 40 hectares, combines a park and forest area in the style of an English landscape garden. Its picturesque character is created by old trees, numerous canals and ponds, as well as rich vegetation, including a protected common yew. Asphalt paths are conducive to walking, running and cycling, and information boards make it easy to explore.
Park in Głuchołazy
Parkin Głuchołazy, established in the 19th century, combines unique climatic and landscape conditions with rich recreational infrastructure. Revitalized paths, gazebos, playgrounds and viewing terraces complement the recreational offer, and three entrances lead to the forest part of the park. Walkers can use shelters, sensory paths, picnic areas and a charming spring.
Michalov City Park
During the last reconstruction of the Park, the paths, park buildings were renovated and hundreds of trees were planted. Sculptures depicting native residents of the city were also placed, and a modern playground with numerous attractions was created for the youngest. Thanks to this, the park gained new life, conducive to recreation and walks.
Each of these parks has its own unique atmosphere, and walking among the trees, we gain not only rest, but also a moment of peace. A walk in the park is always a good idea, even on colder November days!
